Applications and any supporting documents for an I-20 must be received at least 10 weeks before the beginning of the semester, which also serves as proof of admission.

The dates of study will be included in the I-20 form.

Applicants provisionally admitted to another program or department at Catholic University, who have an I-20 from that program must only fill out the application form and pay the application fee at least one week before the beginning of the semester.

Placement Testing

Applicants to IEP must take a placement test. Students who arrive late or miss the testing dates cannot be assured of placement in the program, thus we suggest that students plan to arrive in the Washington, D.C. area at least one week before the beginning of classes.

Tuition and Other Expenses

Estimated expenses for one year in intensive language training are on the I-20 request form. This amount includes tuition, fees, room and board, books and supplies, and mandatory health insurance.

For a complete list of costs, including tuition, fees, housing, board, and parking, see the Enrollment Services Costs page.

Housing

Limited housing options may be available on campus in Catholic University's residence halls. Please refer to the Housing Services website (housing.cua.edu) for more information regarding housing eligibility, housing policies, and room types and rates. Housing Services staff are also available to assist students who are seeking off-campus housing options.

Please contact Housing Services at cua-housing@cua.edu if you have any questions. Their information can be found on the resources page as well.
